The concept of gays is catching momentum these days. Karan Johar has included a trailer in his movie Kal Ho Na Ho in the name of Kantabai and Dharma Production has carried forward with John and Abhishek with Dostana. This unique relationship is flourishing day by day and filmmakers find it an interesting story to tell to the audience by including some spice. Dostana has neither looked upon gays in bad eyes nor cracked jokes over the relationship which is unacceptable in our society rather made the issue entertaining. The story of gay is told in a decent manner which will entertain the audience to the fullest and there is not any single moment that looks upon them as deserted. Abhishek and John bonded well in Dhoom 2 and they carried forward their fabulous chemistry with Dostana also. The story is told in a very catchy way and no sooner the movie unveils, you will not resist yourself from being lost in the laughter world.Dostana is an out and out an entertaining flick, a perfect dose for the multiplex audiences. Style quotient is high, the exotic locales of Miami beach is a feast for your eyes, songs are ear-soothing, Shilpa Shetty’s beach number is fabulous, Priyanka too hot to handle, comic timing is perfect and many more positive points comes with it. The twist and turn in Dostana has some freshness. Debutante director Tarun Mansukhani has shown his prowess in his first attempt, its opens his door for directing some good script. It tells the story Sameer [Abhishek Bachchan] who is a male nurse by profession and Kunal [John Abraham] a photographer. They struggle to get an apartment to reside. For accommodation, the duo has to pretend that they are gays as the landlady (Sushmita Mukherjee) is over possessive about her sexy niece Neha [Priyanka Chopra] and reluctant to give space to two young guys. Sameer and Kunal have to do all those activities which gays usually do in order to keep alive their false relationship in the mind of the landlady. As time passes, Sameer, Kunal and Neha became close friend. But Sameer and Kunal gradually develop a feeling for her. The story takes a U-turn when Neha's boss Abhimanyu [Bobby Deol] takes an entry. Like the gays, he too falls for Neha. The hilarious comments, comic timings, Abhi-John’s chemistry worked in favor of Dostana.Speaking about the performances, Dostana cannot be called a one or two man show. Every character played their part very finely and flawlessly. No words to express the camaraderie between Abhi and John, they are just mind-blowing. Abhishek has shown that he is not only good as an intense actor; he is terrific in comedy also. John has grown as a full fledged actor. Glamour, acting, style all came with Priyanka. She is perfectly fine. Sushmita Mukherjee’s comic acting is incomparable. Kirron Kher is excellent. On the whole, Dostana will rock at the box-office. It will do a good business at the domestic as well as in the overseas market. The film has a tremendous youth appeal and while watching, they will definitely say, I am loving it’.
